FAQ
Why should I hire a Private Investigator?
With all the information available on the internet, this is a great question. You may be able to uncover some things on your own that save you some of the expense of an investigation. That's great! But remember, per Google's own admission, the search engine doesn't search the entire internet, it only searches Google's index of the internet - which is a paltry 3% of the total information available online.
Private investigators are trained to ferret out open source information and know exactly where to look for it. We are also privy to databases of information that are not available to the public. Also, we will cross-check information and verify it for accuracy before presenting it to you. P.I.s utilize a variety of anonymous means to obtain information, none of which will be connected to you. It's safer for you to have a practiced third party do this research.
Also, P.I.s are able to obtain evidence that is both objective and admissible in court. We are skilled at obtaining evidence that meets these requirements. If you are involved in a lawsuit, you need to have evidence that has been obtained by a professional in order for it to hold up in court.
Why should I choose Outfoxed Investigations?

We communicate with clients at every step of the way with regular updates, keeping you looped in and informed. We respect your confidentiality, and obtain your permission before taking any actions. When you call, you will speak directly to a licensed private investigator, available to discuss the complexities of your case and how we can help you.
What should I do before I call?
Gather all the information that you can without compromising safety or revealing your motive. Depending on the case, We may ask you for information such as the subject's date of birth, address, phone number, employment, previous employment, associates, social media accounts, interests/hobbies, affiliations, and photos. It's ok if you don't know all this information!
Secure a safe phone number or email address to contact us that your subject does not have access to. You can also contact us on WhatsApp with end-to -end encryption.
As tempting as it may be, it's best not to discuss hiring a P.I. with your friends and family until after the investigation is complete, even if you think they will keep it confidential. If the subject is tipped off, it can compromise the integrity of the case as well as the investigator's safety.
Will you testify for me?
Yes! That's part of the job. When we start working on your case, we are mindful of this possibility. Hourly surveillance rates apply with a 4 hour minimum.
Do you accept every case?
No. Cases are accepted on an individual basis. We are dedicated to “ethical” investigations that comply with federal regulations and our own sense of justice and morality. We will not participate in or supply information for any stalking, bullying, or intimidating behavior. If a case is outside our scope of experience or needs an in-person investigator outside the Portland area, we will do our best to refer you to a reputable agency that can help.
